Up for bids is an original Mono Jazz LP by The Red Garland Trio called "Manteca" on Prestige Records. PRLP 7139. Released in 1959.
This has addresses "447 west 50th street, new york 19, n.y." on the back of cover, and "446 W. 50th ST., N.Y.C." on both labels!
Deep Groove pressing!
Edges of record are slightly raised.
Matrix (or trail-off) numbers have the large stamped "RVG" then the hand-etched "PRLP-7139-A" and lastly a hand-etched "8 J" for Side A, and all the aforementioned with the exception of "PRLP-7139-B" for Side B.
Front of cover is laminated.
NOTE:
The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is in VG+ condition. Some wear and staining on front and back. Top corner at spine has some small holes (probably staples). No splits.
I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG. Has some scratches, marks and scuffs on both sides that make some noise at times but overall don't greatly affect play. Side 2's first track has a couple of "hiss" scratches in the middle that make some noise, but do nor skip on my player. Overall, it sounds really nice on my player!
Makes a great gift for any Red Garland or Jazz record fan!
