Description
Official American Music Industry Award for “Californication”
This is a genuine RIAA American music industry 3xPlatinum Award for 3,000,000 sales of the album ‘Californication’. It was presented in 2000 to a US radio station. The award measures 9x23 inches (23x59cms) and is in good condition. There’s a few very minor nicks on the frame, but nothing noticeable once it’s hanging on the wall. Within the glazed frame are 3 CDs (each representing 1 million copies), the album artwork, the RHCP logo, and a dedication plaque, which are all individually mounted onto a custom-designed background. Mounted on the plaque is the RIAA hologram to indicate its authenticity, and the following text:

RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) awards are the American equivalent of British BPI awards, and are only presented to artists, producers, record companies and others in the music industry that contributed to the success of a record. This is an official music industry award and should not be confused with any kind of replica or ‘limited edition’ that is sold direct to the public.
A very cool and rare piece of Chilis memorabilia.
