RED NORVO ORIGINAL 1951 DIAL DIZ’ N’ BIRD=JAM SESSION
Dial was a store- based label begun by Ross Russell. On offer is an original heavy wax, deep groove Dial 903 with red and yellow label from 1951. The players include Parker on alto, Gillespie on trumpet, Flip Phillips on tenor, Teddy Wilson on piano, Red Norvo on vibes, Slam Stewart on bass, and Specs Powell on drums. The condition of the cover is EX. The condition of the (a) side vinyl is VG. There are a few marks .The (b) side is VG+. There are no jumps etc but there is the usual slight hiss that you get with all Dial records. The label is EX+
CONDITION WISE:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: Slight signs of having been played, no lessening of sound quality. Cover, label, extras are good.
VERY GOOD: played quite a few times, no real deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras slight amount of wear and tear.
GOOD: showing some wear and tear. Reasonable, playable sound. No major defects in record, cover, label, extras.
FAIR: Sound quality deteriorated. Cover, label, extras display folding, scuffing, marks. .
