Description
TITLE/ARTIST: Please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection will eventually come up for sale - records from the '50's, '60's, and much, much more - all "oldies" and all in great condition! Here is another one of those early, rare and highly collectible LP`s by an artist (and album) that I know very little about, but I do still find quite interesting for a variety of reasons. The LP is entitled "Rock'n'Roll" by Red Prysock (who was the brother to '60's singer, Arthur Prysock). Red Prysock was a superior R'n'B saxoplone player back in the early 1950's, and I believe that this attractive looking jacket/album is his first attempt at rock and roll - from those very early formulative days of R'n'R back - 1955. The album includes the title song plus some of his other released singles like, "Hand Clappin", "Jump, Red Jump", and "Blow Your Horn" - all in MONO and all in outstanding shape (again, please see the pictures above for all the song titles and more). I cannot speak for the music itself as I have never played the album, but it is yet another album in great overall condition - both the vinyl and the jacket. LABEL INFO: This original, black Mercury Label (MG 20088) is nearly perfect with no serious issues - just a few spindle lines around the center circle. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is also super shiny, clean, and nice with again, nothing in any need of a mention - it is close to perfect. JACKET INFO: Finally, this very colorful (pinkish red) and attractive jacket is also very, very good (especially the all important front side), but it does a couple small scuff marks in the corner areas and an "X" marked in the top left hand corner of the backside only. Otherwise though, it too is just fine and has no serious issues to speak of at all. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, this unusual LP is in the very nice shape, so please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 100's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I take a great deal of pride in packaging all my mailings both safely and securely. However, I cannot be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. But, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come!
