Description
RED RODNEY: 1957, US orig Signal 1957 MONO pressing in very nice condition. RVG stamped on dead wax. Deep Groove pressing.
VINYL is VG+ on side 1, and VG++ to EX on side 2. Side 1 has a long hairline, starting at the end of Track 1 and going across Track 2 & Track 3. It's the kind of hairline that clicks mildly when the music is very low, and dissapears when music is louder. You hear some light ticking by the end of T1, in the Oscar Pettford bass solo. When the band kicks in agian by the end, it's nearly gone again. On T2, the quiet ballad, You Better Go Now, you do hear light tics from this hairline for most of the track. Still a very enjoyable listen, since the overall sound of the LP is very clean. On T3 you hear almost nothing, just the odd tic now and then, and a couple of tics in the quiet ending of the song. So much for side 1.
The whole of side 2 plays brilliantly all the way, with just the odd tic here and there. This LP wasn't much played, and has a very clean and deep sound-quality throughout.
COVER is VG+, structurally very sound, but with brown tape along all edge. I would not attempt a removal unless you're a true expert. Still looks great this cover. Good luck bidding for this great and rare LP which includes Joe Jones, Tommy Flanagan, Elvin Jones Ira Sullivan & Oscar Pettiford.

REGISTERED SHIPPING for 1 to 5 LPs is 15 GBP only. Same charge for 1 or 5 LPs, or any number in between. 6-10 LPs will be sent in two packages at 30 GBP.
To get quote for a single item UNREGISTERED WITHOUT TRACKING, use shipping calculator. But all items or combined totals over 40 GBP will have the additional charge of 4 GBP to cover Tracking. The 4 GBP comes on top of the basic charge indicated in the shipping calculator.
PACKING
Special UK-made extra-stiff-mailers designed for multiple LPs are used, even for single LP packages. The boxes are oversized and thus provide extra corner protection as well as great stiffness to the package. Addtional protection may also be used when found nessesary, such as stiffeners, bubble-wrap, extra corner-protection. I do not charge anything for packing materials.
GRADINGS
MINT(-) is as close to new as a used LP or cover can get, unplayed or played 1-2 times at most with no visual signs of use on surfaces.
MINT- is superb, almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or anything else, aside from possibly a barely visible and inaudible hairline or two. All minor blemishes will be mentioned in the individual descriptions.
EX or EXCELLENT is also VERY nice, 2-3 light inaudible marks/hairlines perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality.
VG+ is nice with light hairlines, a few marks maybe. Please see individual notes in case of VG+ or lower gradings.
