RED RODNEY QUINTET – MODERN MUSIC FROM CHICAGO - FANTASY 3-208 – M-/VG+ - MONO

Recorded on June 20, 1955 in Chicago, this Fantasy session features Red Rodney on trumpet, Ira Sullivan on trumpet, tenor and alto, Norman Simmons on piano, Victor Sproles on bass and Roy Haynes on drums. SIDE A: TAKING A CHANCE ON LOVE; DIG THIS; RED IS BLUE; CLAP HANDS, HERE COMES CHARLIE; ON MIKE and THE SONG IS YOU. SIDE B: YOU AND THE NIGHT AND THE MUSIC; LAURA; HAIL TO DALE; JEFFIE and RHYTHM IN A RIFF. It contains an original Fantasy catalog. This is mono recording.

I have graded the LP as M- and the record Jacket as VG+ for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean of any marks on both sides of the LP. There is no sign of wear in the spindle hole and there are a few marks around the spindle hole. The record jacket has no taped seams. There is some wear on the cover of the record jacket, which drops the grading level. There is some discoloration on the liner notes.
