Lou Reed's Transformer was a turning point in the career of the legendary Velvet Underground frontman and later solo musician. Released in 1972, the album saw Reed embrace glam rock and make a break from his previous work with his band and the Velvet Underground. Fun fact: David Bowie produced the album and also contributed backing vocals on 'Satellite of Love.' Transformer remains a seminal work in Reed's oeuvre, and this reissue on Sony is a welcome addition to his legacy.
