Die Walkure (Wagner) Vienna Philharmonic Solti – REEL-to-REEL – 1966 (LOY 90122)
Details about Die Walkure Richard Wagner Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Conductor Solti, with: Nilsson – Crespin – Ludwig – King – Hotter – Frick, a fine combination indeed!
Condition: We do not have the equipment to play these tapes, so we are limited to visual observations, which are as follows:
Reel I – Looks Very Very Good, but casing is a little dirty and residue from sticker, haven’t tried to clean; tape has light damage to exposed end, rough edge and fold at 4 in.; label perfect.
Reel II – Looks Perfect – casing is clear no discoloration or chips; no visual issues with tape; even the label is perfect with has no fringe. Outer edge of tape is attached to casing with Ampex Stereo sticker.
Reel III – Sadly – Looks more like Acceptable?? Casing is a little dirty and residue from sticker, haven’t tried to clean; and the is label perfect; but the tape – sadly the tape looks in poor shape – it’s on the reel but the tape itself has curled around its edges, and it’s not on smoothly. Maybe it plays maybe not, and maybe the damaged part is important or maybe it’s blank. I dunno.
The insert program is included and is in very good shape.
The box is included and is intact, but has much edgewear and tears, and the side label has separated.
These Reels are FFrr (Full Frequency range recording) quality sound. Rare enough - don't miss these!
