This is the
Reference Recordings 180 gram pressing
of
"Rhapsody In Blue"
by
George Gershwin
(RM-1003) (1992).
This album was one of only 3 or 4 that RR did in their
"Reference Mastercuts" series.
It was an extremely limited edition series, and this particular copy has an ultra-low serial number of 0461.
Mastering was done by Doug Sax at the Mastering Lab.
This was originally issued as the Vox Box QSVBX-5132, and the original Vox 4 track master tapes were used for this limited edition reissue.

The gatefold jacket is in beautiful condition with the exception of a tiny corner bump at the lower right corner. There are no splits or bends. The record is in beautiful NM condition with no scratches, marks or signs of play. There are no spindle marks on the labels. This is possibly the best you could ask for outside of a sealed album, and it is THE best version I have ever heard of these recordings.

Performances are by Leonard Slatkin and the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, and features Jeffrey Liegel on the piano. Selections include: Rhapsody In Blue, Second Rhapsody, and Variations on "I Got Rhythm". Stunning !
