Regina Spektor - Soviet Kitsch (Sire/Shoplifter)

 2015 test pressing of LP originally issued by Sire/Shoplifter in 2005. This test pressing bears the same catalog number as the original 2005 release, made from the same lacquers as the first issue. This test pressing was made for a potential reissue that was scrapped or withdrawn and never released (for reasons unknown). The 2016 reissues have completely different matrix etchings, and came from different lacquers pressed by Rainbo Records.

Although it cannot be ascertained exactly why this test pressing was shelved in favor of what was released in 2016, one of the test evaluation forms included with the three known test pressings mentions some "ticks" and light sibilance in the pressing.

Disc has QRP test pressing label on side one and blank label on side two. Info sticker affixed and small "1" written on side one label. Plain white cover has info sticker at top right corner on front. This copy includes an evaluation sheet as well as an approval request form.

Condition: Disc VG++, Cover VG+
