REIGN GHOST s/t ultra rare original Canadian psych lp!

1969/Cdn/Allied No. 12……here’s a rare original pressing of their 1st lp, full of psychedelic bliss with gobs of fuzz, organ, male/female vocals etc. The cover is in solid VG+ condition, the front is nice with minor light aging/soiling, the back has general light storage wear, slightly bumped corners, no split or delete and looks nice. The vinyl is in VG to VG+ condition. These Allied records were sealed with no inner sleeve, there are a few light marks, several small grit scratches and light sleeve scuffs. This is a deep groove pressing and the fidelity is excellent and there is no groove wear, there is light background noise/crackle during play on side one that can be heard during the quieter parts of the record and between tracks, when the music is louder or heavier the noise is quite subdued, especially on the long final track of the side “Eyes Knows, so Does Ears and Carolina”, you hear very little noise on this killer track, side two plays better with the first track having the main noise, there are a couple of spots in the first track “Curio Shop” that have consistent crackle for approx 10 revolutions, the final four tracks on side two play quite nice with only minor light noise here and there, and light crackle between tracks, overall the record is an enjoyable listen with no skips, sticks or other problems. The labels are clean with no spindle marks. Still a decent copy of this rare Canadian gem! Please check my auctions for other psych, rock, folk, Beatle, Sealed lp’s and original UK pressings. Bob Bryden and singer Lynda Squires were members of The Christopher Columbus Discovery of New Lands Band in Oshawa, Ontario during 1967. As is the fate with most bands, the unit split up in 1968. Columbus' direct competition in town was an act called Reign Ghost and with an eye to find something new to do, Bryden and Squires infiltrated the rival band as guitarist and singer respectively. Soon the bassist left and Bryden snuck in former Columbus bassist Joe Gallant. Following the usual 'creative differences' excuse, Gallant quit and then came Columbus' Jerry Dufek. This line-up hooked up with Jack Boswell's Allied Records who threw them into a recording studio for the self-titled 'Reign Ghost' album in late 1968. The album was released in January 1969.

MINT: as stated with no defects

NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition, I also play grade the records on high end equipment and will give an honest play grade as well as visual grade, considering the number of records I buy on line my grading is very conservative and fair.
