This version of Hunky Dory is a 2nd press of the first issue vinyl LP by David Bowie, released  1971 on RCA Victor.

This copy has a front laminated sleeve and as a 2nd pressing has the GEM logo replaced on the rear sleeve.

This version has a unique flaw in production and the laminated sheet was not aligned at start of run and so the spine details are on the edge of the reverse (please see photos). All details are fully ledgable.

The front laminated sleeve is in very good condition, has a corner crease but barely visible. The front cover in the black edge has a pen imprint of the number 6, possibly from the Radio Studio. No splits or tears.

This vinyl comes with beautiful orange gloss labels, no sign of spindle wear or marks.

Side one has a "Sample Record-Not for Sale" label over RCA and Side 2 has had the label removed and has attempted to be cleaned. This has had an adverse reaction with the label. This side also has a pen mark of the number 6.

Very minimal hairline marks but has been played through out and plays with no issues. Lovely bright black shiny vinyl.

This vinyl comes with original inner in excellent condition and what is assumed is the original paper sleeve as this also has a pen marking of number 6 in the top right hand corner.  It includes the original inner sleeve and cover, with a stamped vinyl matrix number. This edition is from the 1970s glam rock era, made in the United Kingdom and is a lovely unique copy
