Description

Very rare fully autographed original 1983 U.S. edition of R.E.M.'s debut album, 'Murmur' (signed in person by Michael Stipe, Peter Buck, Mike Mills and Bill Berry in 1985). 
 This is the original U.S. 1983 I.R.S. Records release (Cat. No. SP 70604) with original inner sleeve.
 As you can see from the photos, Mike Mills signed the record 'To James' and Michael Stipe, in typical fashion at the time, simply signed it, Michael. Peter Buck and Bill Berry signed normally!

Please note that the top right hand corner of the sleeve has been clipped, as this record was originally used for promotional purposes. This, however, is not stated on the actual record or sleeve.
Side One: 'Radio Free Europe', 'Pilgrimage', 'Laughing', 'Talk About The Passion', 'Moral Kiosk', 'Perfect Circle'.
Side Two: 'Catapult', 'Sitting Still', '9-9', 'Shaking Through', 'We Walk', 'West Of The Fields'.
The sleeve is in VG+ condition. (inner sleeve has a seam split at the bottom).
The vinyl is EX condition.  Price reflects the imperfections!

Mint (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G)

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P)

The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad (B)

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
