SIGN UPOut Of Time marked a major turning point for R.E.M., expanding their sound into brighter, more melodic territory while retaining the emotional depth that defined their earlier work. The album blends jangling acoustic textures, mandolin‑driven hooks, and rich string arrangements, producing some of the band’s most enduring songs, including “Losing My Religion,” “Shiny Happy People,” and the atmospheric “Country Feedback.” This 2016 25th Anniversary Edition presents the album remastered on 180‑gram vinyl, offering enhanced warmth and clarity to one of the defining alternative rock releases of the early 1990s.
