Description
100% of the proceeds that come from this auction will go to The Wounded Warriors Project, a great charity that offers tremendous assistance to the men and women of our military, a charity that is near and dear to my heart.
Up for auction is R.E.M.’s Out of Time with the limited edition Spanish cover. Only 70 covers were ever printed. The vinyl record that accompanies this cover is German pressed (WEA Music 7599-26796-1 / WX 404) . This is not a bootleg but a legitimate Warner Brothers release. As Gary Nabors in his book Remnants: Collector Handbook and Price Guide writes, “a promotional contest was held in Spain in which students were invited to submit designs for Out of Time’s album jacket. The winning entry was used on the cover of a small number [70] of the vinyl Spanish Out of Time." Little information is available as to who suggested/ran the contest, who judged the contest, and who won the contest. The cover I offer here is Number 65.
Condition (please check all photos; if there’s something else you need, please contact me):
Vinyl: In the 20+ years that I’ve had the album I have never played it.
Conservatively, the vinyl looks to be VG+ (slight scuffs mar its glossy finish).
Cover: VG+. Corner bumps, backside right corner shows a slight corner crimp/crease.
I reserve the right to cancel anyone who has more negatives than positives as well as all troll bids.
Free Priority shipping in the USA only.
