Description

Up for auction is a super clean and rare copy of the R.E.M. album "The Reckoning" released on I.R.S./CBS Records (28AP 2847 IR) in 1984.  This is an original, first Japanese pressing with OBI strip, original insert with liner notes, and protective poly inner sleeve.  High-end 2,800 Series.
Cover is in superb condition, looks close to as new.  No real signs of previous handling or wear.  Corners sharp, seams strong, no splits.  No ring wear.  Grade the cover Near Mint (NM).
Vinyl is also in beautiful condition, shiny and new looking.  No scratches or scuffs, looks virtually un-played.  No marks around spindle holes.  Clean.  Grade the vinyl Near Mint (NM).
This is the best sounding copy of this recording I've ever heard--far superior to the regular issue U.S. pressings.  True audiophile quality.
