R.E.M. – Up Double LP Warner Bros 9362-47112-1
I have owned this 1998 R.E.M. album from new. The sleeve text indicates that it was made in the USA and the matrix numbers correspond with the US details. However, it also has Damont hand etched into three of the four sides, suggesting it was pressed in the UK at Damont Audio Ltd.
CONDITION I use the RC grading categories and have play graded the vinyl on a Linn LP12. I have been using high end turntables for over 30 years. My records have been stored in a pet free, smoke free home.
Sleeve: Very Good The cover is in fine condition overall. There are no tears, splits, writing or stains. There is no corner, edge or spine wear. There is some ring wear and a crease at the top edge. Also at the opening please note that the colour has lifted in an area 1 x 3.5 cms (see close up picture). The original HMV price/identifier sticker is at the top right of the front cover. There is no lyric inner sheet.
Vinyl: Very Good The record has had very little play. There are just a couple of visible spindle marks and a few scuffs on the vinyl. The vinyl sounds excellent for the most part but there is some crackle towards the end of sides, especially in the last track of side 3.
POSTAGE AND PACKAGING The record will be packed in a record mailer with stiffener and posted 2nd class. I remove all records from outer and printed inner sleeves before packing to avoid damage to covers during transit. All vinyl is dispatched in polythene sleeves. This is one of several albums I am selling from my personal collection (see my other listings). I am not a dealer but have been buying records for over 40 years and have decided to begin ‘downsizing’ my collection. I will be listing many more records over the coming months, dating from the 1960s to the present day.
