HERE'S some good-natured hot jazz by the FIVE BIRMINGHAM BABIES - yet another name for those ungodly prolific CALIFORNIA RAMBLERS! - : "REMEMBER THE NIGHT."
"Remember" bustles along amiably, with great solos by BILL MOORE (cornet) and BOBBY DAVIS (alto sax). Strangely, ADRIAN ROLLINI (bass saxophone) gets only one measly break, despite being the composer!
The other side is SAM LANIN AND HIS ORCHESTRA doing the current Walter Donaldson hit, "THAT'S WHY I LOVE YOU," peppy and outstanding dance music.
This original 1926 red-wax Perfect 14635 is in highly serviceable E- condition. There's some strange, Martian-surface erosion on the record's edge, which fortunately does not intrude on the grooves.
