ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: REMI KABAKA is a Nigerian drummer who has played with such legends as THE ROLLING STONES, Ginger Baker, Paul McCartney (WINGS), Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, John Martyn, Hugh Masekela, Paul Simon, & more recently in Damon Albarn's alter-ego band GORILLAZ. In 1977 he recorded this 10 track LP entitled 'Son Of Africa', which for reasons unknown was never released, except for a handful of test pressings, however I have gone one better & discovered the original ACETATE, which may be the only one in existence, but the beauty of this is that it's an ALTERNATE CUT (mix) to the test pressing!!! I have compared it back to back & it does appear to be a slightly different mix, however I have not been able to gain access to the complete songs from the test pressing, so I can not guarantee that there is a significant difference. Please listen to the mp3 which is the first track of the LP taken directly from THIS disc on sale, & let YOU decide! The disc is in fantastic condition with just light surface marks. Bid HIGH for possibly the only recording of this classic unreleased album in existence!
The musicians on this recording are: Guitarists Junior Kerr [Wailers] and Pete Bonas [Brand X, Jim Capaldi] and Keyboard players Steve Winwood and Robert Bailey [Osibisa]
