Description
NOTE: I recently listed this item, but with the wrong description. Apologies for any confusion. Here is the correct information.
More Moondog, on Prestige 7096. Original mono, deep-groove pressing with RVG etched in the dead wax and W. 50th address on the label. Disk looks weak VG, with two long, nasty looking fingernail scuffs of the A-side that do not sound. B-side has a dense series of scuffs on the first two tracks that likewise are silent. There are some other light scratches, but the record has great gloss and plays very well, with periodic ticks in the background. Laminated front cover is very nice with light wear and a sticker in the lower left corner from the store that originally sold the record. Moderate aging and wear to the rear cover, with a price written in pencil at upper right. Seams are excellent, with some wear to the corners. This is a fascinating record for anyone who loves unconventional rhythms, bohemianism, or just oddball jazz genius. It was light years ahead of its time on release, and is probably still ahead of its time today. One of the harder early Prestige records to find.
I am currently selling a very nice batch of 50s and 60s jazz originals in great shape, so check my other auctions.
