Recorded at Kingston's Channel One in 1979, this long-shelved dub set places The Revolutionaries at their most stripped and assured. As the house band behind the studio's rockers era, the Jamaican group understood how to let rhythm carry meaning, and these versions move with quiet authority. Basslines sink deep and stay there, snares crack sharply and echoes hang in the air long enough to reshape the groove. Tracks such as 'Night (dub)' and 'Dutch Man' unfold with swirling patience, while 'Man In The Street' and 'Africa Is A Must' keep the beat steady, each element entering with meaning and care. Nothing feels particularly crowded. Space is treated as part of the arrangement that gives the music its meditative pull.
