Description
Ruggiero Ricci plays virtuosos showpieces by Henryk Wieniawski, with Joanna Gruenberg (piano). The sleeve is laminated on both sides. The inner sleeve is poly-lined plain paper.
The programme was recorded in single takes: no editing.
Ricci plays a 1774 Storioni violin.
The recording was made using a Soundfield microphone: Calrec Type CM 4050 Mark IIA and a Sony digital recorder.
The record is Ambisonic UHJ 2-channel encoded and may drive 4 or more speakers using an appropriate decoder.

The LP will be supplied in a protective 30g PVC sleeve and posted in a commercial Defenda LP mailer made of corrugated cardboard (no charge for these).
Condition of Disc The disc is glossy, shows negligible signs of wear and plays beautifully in normal stereo. I do not have access to an Ambisonic UHJ Decoder and so cannot comment on multi-channel performance. I have conservatively graded the disc as 'Excellent' (Record Collector grading system).
Condition of Sleeve The sleeve is free of writing, tears and ring-wear and shows only minor signs of shelf/handling wear. graded 'Excellent'.
