Description
This is the original UK LP by RICHARD AND LINDA THOMPSON, I WANT TO SEE THE BRIGHT LIGHTS TONIGHT, 1973 Very 1st Press on the ISLAND Pink Rim label ILPS 9266
Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- ILPS 9266 A-1U, Side 2:- ILPS 9266 B-1U
Stamper codes are, Side 1:- 1 / H, Side 2:- 1 / R
Both Matrix and Stamper codes clearly indentify this as a Very 1st Pressing
The original 1973 UK fully laminated cover is in EX+++ / MINT- condition. The cover maintains all it's original colour, lovely thick glossy lamiantion both sides. The solid slim spine is fully intact, clean and perfectly readable. Their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits.
The vinyl is in EX condition, gleaming with all it's original 'Just Pressed glossy shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very very carefully!) and the vinyl plays EX+++. THE QUALITY OF THIS 1st Pressing is ASTONISHING!, THE STEREO IS SO BRIGHT AND FRESH, PLAYING WITH SUCH CLAIRTY AND DEPTH, YOUR LISTEN TO IT AND JUST SMILE! Only the last track on the album - 'The Great Valerio' is a few very very light 'tic's' to be heard, very light, you may not hear them, so minimal! ( no jumps, no sticks), other than that the whole of the album plays MINT-!!!!!
The Pink Rim ISLAND label's are in MINT- condition!!!, lovely and clean and fresh, maintaining all their original bright fresh white colour, their is no unwanted writing, no scuffs, the centre spindle hole shows little or no wear, beautiful labels!
The vinyl is housed in its original 1973 UK custom made thin card ISLAND inner sleeve and in EX condition!, a few small areas of mottling, otherwise clean, their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits.
