If you like those good ol' analogue synth sounds, you've found your new favorite album. This record is 100% pure, beautiful spacey electronics. If Autobahn-era Kraftwerk or Windows-era Dark Day interests you... well, you need this. Richard Bone was a New York City electronic whiz kid, who was in bands like Bone and Shox Lumania before releasing a string of great synthpop singles and albums on Survival Records. This album is much different from his others, though. All songs are instrumental, and all of them are incredible spacey cosmic synth classics. The insruments he used were: Roland SH-1 & SH-1000, Yamaha CP-20 Electronic Piano, KOrg MS-10 & MS-20, Moog Prodigy, Micro-Korg pre-set, Roland TR-66 Rhythm Machine, VOX Percussion King manual rhythm generator.
This is an EXTREMELY hard to find record, as only 50 copies were pressed (no joke!) and privately released in 1981 on his own Rumble Records. This was a companion piece to his video piece, Emerging Video, which was shown at the National Video Convention in the New York Coliseum as well as on the USA cable channel. To make this particular copy even more desireable, it comes with a 1-page sheet (signed and stamped by the man himself!) about RIchard Bone and the album as well as the awesome 8" x 10" glossy photo you see on the right side of the picture below. Was Richard Bone the inspriation for Data in Star Trek: The Next Generation? That photo seems to say "yes". I can't imagine more than 5 copies or so came with these things, so don't pass this ultra-rare package up! The cover is VG- with sticker residue and a tear on one side and taped edges. The picture has some ring indentation but is otherwise fine. The vinyl is VG+ with light surface scuffing.
There are about 10 songs on the record; none of them are titled.
