ITEM DESCRIPTION

You are bidding on ONE single, a 7” vinyl original of the classic blue-eyed soul (or Freakbeat) song: RICHARD KENT STYLE – GO GO CHILDREN / NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO on Columbia Records.

The vinyl is in VG/NM condition and the sleeve has some minor rips. It is a major collector’s item. Co-written by Ian Starr (who is also my dad - WHAT BETTER AUTHENTICATION?) the track GO GO CHILDREN has even been covered in tribute to one of the major cult tracks of the 1960s UK scene.

METHODS OF PAYMENT

PERSONAL CHEQUE: If you are in the UK, I prefer a personal cheque. I don’t insist on this. This is only a request and a suggestion – NOT a rule!

I am happy for you to use PayPal, but cheques are far better for me due to PayPal fees.

PAYPAL: Yes, as stated, I do accept PayPal but it’s mainly so that I can attract people from abroad to bid on my auctions. However, I just want to point out to UK users that they won’t always speed up and item by using PayPal, all it means is a faster positive feedback rating. I ship regularly though.

CASH / MONEY: I accept cash in UK Pounds Sterling (£), US Dollars ($) and Euros. COINS in UK£Sterling ONLY accepted if it is unavoidable, but it's 100% at your risk if it goes missing.

Please don’t send coins in US$ or Euros. If your item can't be sent in notes, I would like you to send the nearest money in notes above the sale value of the item.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOU BID AND WIN AN ITEM AND THEN DISAPPEAR

If you win an auction and you then disappear, I will eventually have no option other than to give you negative feedback. I don't want to, but I will. But if you speak up and tell me you made a mistake, I probably won’t.

If you feel you made a mistake in bidding. I can re-list the item. It’s when people disappear that I find disrespectful and selfish. That is all I ask.

Behind these pages is someone who is doing his very best to deliver a good service. I have been kebabbed on that many occasions, through sheer desperation, that I have resorted to these anti-fuckwit measures.

Furthermore, they work. After putting in these messages/threats, the number of ‘Bermuda Triangle’ bidders has decreased significantly so no regrets!

HOW I SET MY SHIPPING RATES: A 'QUICK' EXPLANATION

Occasionally the postage on the envelope/parcel doesn’t exactly match the money you paid in shipping. You may pay £1.50 for an item to be shipped and then find that it has a 47 Pence stamp, for instance. Different records/cds/posters etc weigh different amounts.

I also don't know how much items weigh, even some 7" singles weigh vastly different amounts. I take a rough estimate. Usually, if I do make a little money on the shipping, it's about 30p. It's one of the pitfalls.

Also, there is an auction fee I am charged by eBay, and the auction final value tax off the end price, often a PayPal tax and the costs of the packaging materials. Some sellers can afford this because they package thousands of items, while I can't afford to.

All this is no different to any handling fee charged by any other business. Ticketmaster charge £3+++ on any ticket you buy ... what for?

Companies such as these are large businesses who actually should be able to afford it and they still charge you, yet people rarely complain at the big-boys. I can’t afford not to recoup this money, but I have received one or two queries about this. So I thought I’d explain in advance.
