Includes 19 LP records and 193-page coffee table companion book. Deutsche Grammophon 2720-061 stereo 12" LP record album set in box. Condition: All records grade Near Mint or Mint and appear unplayed except for Side 2 of the ¿Die Walkure¿ set which has an unusual zigzag scuffing pattern that cannot be felt with the fingertip, and when play tested is inaudible. The companion book is in mint condition, except the dust jacket has heavy peeling of the cellophane cover. The outer box container has edge and corner wear, and some staining. Comments: Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung), WWV 86, is a cycle of four epic operas by the German composer Richard Wagner (1813-1883). The works are based loosely on characters from the Norse sagas and the Nibelungenlied. The composer termed the cycle a "Bühnenfestspiel" (stage festival play), structured in three days preceded by a Vorabend ("ante-evening").
