RICHMOND TALBOTT - "Gettin Plenty"
(Grunt 1010) Original 1973 US press (Stereo)

There are a number of sources (including the Both Sides Now Discography website - the prime source for Discographies on the web) that
state this album was never released. We were never serviced with a copy at our radio station back then. Therefore I was surprised to
find a copy of this in a friends collection I purchased last year. Since it was the first time I had seen one in 40+ years, I've come to the
conclusion that only a handful were pressed. Not sure for whom, but my friend was a Blues fanatic and would travel the world over in the 60's and 70's  looking for any Blues LP's he could find. He does not recall where he got this (although there "is" some text stamped on  one of the labels that
says "Second Time Around" with a phone number - could be a used record store, or perhaps something else).
Talbott was signed to the label at the suggestion of Jorma Kaukonen since Grunt was the Jefferson Airplane/Starship's label. RCA execs felt
this album had no commercial value and the rumor is, the release was cancelled. EXTREMELY rare album, I've only seen 5 copies appear
here on Ebay

Visually graded condition of disc:  Near Mint  Never been played. (There 'is' a NEAR INVISIBLE stamp on the label on one side. The text is mentioned in the paragraph above. See the pic - it's nearly impossible to see and hardly a deterrent.)

Condition of Sleeve:  Light creases on left side, a dinged corner and some wear at the bottom on the front. (See Pics)
Includes photo inner sleeve (see pic) with a light stain on it. No splits.

NO 'BEST OFFERS' ACCEPTED

Continuing with the liquidation of my record collection passing them on to people who can more appreciate them. These are items from my collection of nearly 40,000 promo singles, LP's & CD's from the 60's thru the 90's that I was fortunate to acquire from doing 37 years of on-air Rock Radio.

All of my records are guaranteed original pressings unless otherwise noted.
In the 80's I advertised and auctioned off thousands of records in Goldmine magazine under the name of Hemp's Hits.
If you are a previous customer, you already know of my integrity as an honest dealer.
Those of you who are not familiar with me need only to check my Feedback.
You can bid and buy with complete confidence.

These records were sorted, stored, moved a few times, and then stored again for decades.
Some carefully, others were not.
All of my gradings are strictly visual, and more often than not, quite generous. However, because of various quality
in pressings, I cannot guarantee that the pressings themselves will be noise-free. That comes with the territory.
Many 50's (e.g. Chess, Vee-Jay, etc.) & 60's pressings, especially the small independent labels, were
pressed "on-the-cheap" and are somewhat noisy even at NrMint.

Sorry...I do not create audio clips on request. If there is no audio clip attached, I don't have one.

MY GRADING SCALE
(very similar to the Goldmine standard)

NM (Near Mint): Record will show no serious scuffs or scratches in the playing area. May have minor scuffs on edges from decades of storage, or a small scuff, scratch or paper scuff on playing area.
It's near mint, not mint (which would be 'sealed' to me). There should be no audible distractions.
M- (Near Mint minus): A scuff or two or light scratch or two on either or both sides that may be heard.
VG+: Scuffs & some minor scratches in the playing area. Some will most likely be heard.
VG: Many scuffs or scratches that will be heard but record should still play fine.

Record grading is subjective. That's why I offer a money back guarantee on
everything I sell (no refunds on shipping charges).
