LOST MY GIRL / I CAN'T HELP IT ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by RICK AND SANDY aka RICHARD TYKITT and ALEXANDER ROBERTSON music director LES REED. Original UK pressing on the DECCA label (F.12196), from 1965. Obscure and desirable UK mod double-sider. Hip, mid '60s vocal harmony a la Everly Brothers meets swinging London on LOST MY GIRL with aggressive R&B / freakbeat sound featuring fuzz distortions and crashing drums. Comped on Diggin' For Gold - Evil Eyes by Smorgasbord label and Various The Beat Scene by Deram label. Great for DJs with Le Beat Bespoke style groove orchestrated by the legendary Les Reed. Much rarer than the Rick And Sandy "Creation" release, for sure. The I CAN'T HELP IT side is also superb. Seldom comes up for sale in near archive condition, like this copy. Original 4-prong centre intact. Very rare 45!!!
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is close to shiny M- condition with a few light hairlines from sleeve removal. Taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. Record housed in original Decca label custom sleeve. Archive number in pen (both sides of sleeve). Light general wear to sleeve. Very rare 45!!!
