RICK WAKEMAN Journey To The Center Of The Earth New & Sealed Vinyl Record
Record Label: Mobile Fidelity MFSL 1-230 Year: 1974
Record is new and still sealed in it's original plastic sleeve. Perforation has about a five inch split on the back side. Corners are sharp, spine is straight and colors are vibrant. Perforation of plastic sleeve (NOT Record Jacket) is split about half way on the back of the album otherwise... 100% MINT!
This Original Master Recording was made using the half-speed production process. The pressing was sourced from the original stereo master tapes. The disc was mastered by Original Masteringworks and pressed on 200 grams of High Definition Vinyl.

Review: Journey to the Centre of the Earth is the third album by English progressive rock keyboardist Rick Wakeman. Released in May 1974, it is Wakeman's second concept album, loosely based on Jules Verne's novel of the same name. The entire album was recorded live at the Royal Festival Hall in London on January 18 in the same year of its release. A big success, it topped the charts of various countries and sold more than fourteen million copies.
It is said that Wakeman had to sell many of his belongings and mortgage his house to record it. He couldn't cut it in the studio because of the restricted budget. It was originally written to be longer, but certain parts had to be cut and overdubbed since the orchestra was expensive and Wakeman couldn't afford to re-record those parts. Therefore, certain lyric sections are out of order.
After the recording, A&M UK did not wish to produce the album, so Wakeman convinced A&M USA to do it. ~ Amazon
