RINGO STAR'S SCOUSE THE MOUSE, ORIGINAL UK PRESSING. RELEASED IN 1977 ON POLYDOR RECORDS No 2480429,THE ALBUM COMES WITH IT'S ORIGINAL CHILDREN'S COLOURING SHEET ( THIS IS NOT A PHOTOCOPY ). THIS IS WITHOUT DOUBT RINGO'S RAREST UK RELEASE
THIS RECORD IS ORIGINALLY FROM TATE LIBRARY, STREATHAM HIGH RD, LONDON. IT WAS FIRST LOANED OUT IN JULY 1978 AND WAS OBVIOUSLY PLAYED QUITE A BIT. I HAVE NOT TESTED IT FOR SOUND QUALITY BUT IT HAS SOME LIGHT SCRATCHES ON BOTH SIDES, BUT MORE ON SIDE 'A' THAN 'B'. THE COLOURING SHEET IS ORIGINAL AND UNUSED. THE CARDBOARD SLEEVE HAS THE LIBRARY SHEET FIXED TO IT. THE SLEEVE HAS GREAT COLOUR TO IT AND LIGHT WEAR IN A FEW PLACES. PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS FOR CONDITION. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE ASK ME FOR A SPECIFIC POSTAGE COST IF YOU LIVE NEARER THAN AUSTRALIA.
Scouse the Mouse is a children's album, released in Great Britain in 1977, that featured the vocals of Ringo Starr and others. Starr appears as the album's main character, Scouse the Mouse, who emigrates from Liverpool to the United States.
(Scouse is a word for things from Liverpool.)
Other characters are played by Adam Faith (“Bonce the Mouse”) and Barbara Dickson (“Molly Jolly”). The album was written and directed by Donald Pleasence. Also here Ruby Wax plays ‘the American Lady’ & Pete Zorn arranged the brass section. Most of the songs performed on the album were composed by Roger Brown.
