Description
It's been a number of years since I sold on eBay except for a few CD's every now and then. I once owned about 27,000 Lp's. I have since come to my senses and sold many and am concentrating on music DVD's. I still have a few special records I had kept that I am now willing to part with. Many came from my years selling records as well as working for a record distributor in the 70's. Lots of sealed material and rare compilation LP's from the labels. Plus some old favorites. I don't have a turntable any more so it doesn't matter anyway. I'm retired and it Is a job listing records. I have a severe problem with photography and many times there is glare at the bottom of my pics. It's white and doesn't exist unless I state such. This is especially true with sealed records because of the shrink. LABEL/CATALOG # . DEL-FI 1206. 1963. Very Rare!
JACKET: VG. Because it has a tight seam split of about 5" on top. Also some discolor. The edges and spine are remarkably clean otherwise.
LP: VG-. I'm not sure. Let me explain. There are a few scuff marks and surface marks. These are visible. Definitely cannot be felt by fingernail. I don't sell records like this. The odd part about this record is it has an unknown substance on edge of vinyl. It is on one song and looks like dried yellow paint or mustard that's become fossilized..lol. I don't know. It should be cleaned of course. I've never tried. GUARANTEE: if you don't like this, send it back (domestic only) and I'll pay for product, original shipping, and your cost shipping it back as long as you tell me what you think the yellow substance is. NOTE; the starting price on this is so far under value it's criminal.
All of my sealed records are just what you would expect from an unopened LP. Bright and clean. Some have cut-outs and some price tags but that's about it. The others are graded accordingly GRADING SYSTEM. PLEASE READ NM: This record is almost perfect, whether cover or jacket, graded separate. VG+ (Excellent): This record may have a surface mark or two but not many and the sound will not be affected. The jacket will only have one or two flaws. Maybe light ring wear, some wear on edges, initials on jacket, etc. What it will not have is very many of these in combination. Strong VG: I use this grade because the VG record is the most misunderstood record there is. This is a very nice record and should play well. The jacket may have more flaws but not many. I tend to pay more attention to sound than jackets so when you see a VG+ record and a VG jacket it actually means it's a really good buy from my perspective. VG (Decent): This is a record that may play with noise or not. It has to be play tested to be sure. I don't do this because as mentioned, I have no turntable and I wouldn't anyway. Takes too much time. The surface marks will be more frequent and longer but not felt with a fingernail. I don't sell records where you can feel scratches with the nail. This means sure noise or pop or skip. The jackets are liable to have a combination of the defects mentioned. Still decent. I don't sell inferior product and I don't have Good grade. I may use VG- from time to time for seam splits and such.
