MAFIA BIANCA / JOE 5 ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single by RIZ ORTOLANI production by G. GIACCHI. Original Italian promo pressing on the CAM label (AMP 114), from 1973. Sleazy Italian soundtrack double-sider by the cult arranger with shades of Morricone and the I Marc 4 Library sound. Features the groovy psychedelic lounge theme MAFIA BIANCA with thumping heart-beat kick drum intro and outro / strung-out fuzz distortions / cinematic strings and moody blaxploitation orchestrations with funky syncopated B-boy drum patterns. The JOE 5 side is another psych-tinged lounge theme with bumpy hip hop drums / electric keyboard vamps / guitars and country-fried arrangement a la Marc 4 studio group. Cool Italian hippie cum counter-culture ambience throughout both sides. No full soundtrack or Library Lp exists, only this fabulous single. Mood music from the stylish poliziottesco / poliziotteschi / poliziesche thriller film directed by Luigi Zampa starring Luciano Salce / Claudio Gora / Tina Lattanzi and Antonella Steni. Our copy is the desirable promotional issue too. Pop art sleeve artwork to die for... Rare OST 45!!!
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is closer to shiny M- condition overall with a few hairlines / faint scuffs from sleeve removal. Some light surface noises. One soft audible bump to middle of "Joe 5" theme. Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. The soft card picture sleeve is closer to M- condition overall with a little ring creasing from storage. Minimal corner wear to the spine sides. A few age spots / light dirt marks to back sleeve. Rare OST 45!!!
