Desirable release on the ever eclectic label created by Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss. Features the mod tinged northern soul of "Better Use Your Head" an alternative and obscure female version of the Little Anthony & The Imperials classic. Big vocals, sung with theatrical relish a la Petula Clark with joyous harmony chorus over soaring orchestrations and driving r&b backbeat. Great for DJs. Disc cut loud with big production sound. SideB is a kitchy pop ballad, restrained yet powerful with harmony backing / strings 'n' things. Difficult to find in nice condition and our item is the elusive stock copy too ;)
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, strong VG++ (closer to M-) regardless of a few hairlines and faint light scuffs from storage / disc cut loud with big production sound / some natural light background noises
SLEEVE - not graded - original A&M company sleeve has general wear / item from the archive of an important record label who had offices in Milan, hence the archive stickers and pen notations front and back
LABEL - 'x' notation to one side / some natural age discoloration / a few faint old dirt marks from storage

Mp3 created via a Vestax portable with protective slipmat and basic Audacity software but records always sound much better on a proper hi-fi system ;)
