Description
This is the original first edition (1956) Fats Domino LP in the mono (hi-fi) album which features outstanding music from this incredible artist. This album features an exceptionally nice vinyl that plays without surface noise and has only a very few light superficial surface scratches (hardly noticeable). The mono sound is splendid producing an very nice listening experience. This vinyl is very shiny and the labels only show minimal spindle markings. This vinyl warrants a EX+ rating and it will be most difficult to find on in better condition for this rare and vintage disc.
The jacket is very nice and crisp as to color and cleanliness on front and back covers as can be seen in the photos. There are however serious seam splits as follows to this jacket: TOP SEAM: 3.5" at top right from where record is inserted and ; 1" just starting at opposite end. BOTTOM RIGHT: 8" from where record is inserted; and SIDE SEAM: 9" from bottom towards top. Nonetheless, this jacket would make a very nice candidate to frame for those so inclined. This jacket is rated VG- only due to the seam splits mentioned above.
It is noted that this album in near mint condition is listed in the Goldmine Price Guide (6th edition) at $150. A new white generic inner sleeve and a new poly clear outer sleeve are included to protect this 59 year old gem for generations to come. For extra protection during shipment the vinyl is separated from outer jacket and both wrapped with ample bubble wrap and shipped in a heavy duty cardboard record mailer. There is never an additional charge for packing.
