The Goddess' second album presents more of the same hard rocking metal that dominated their self-titled debut. Highlights include the title track, "It Will Never Change".

Rock Goddess was an all-female, English heavy metal/hard rock band that emerged in the early-1980s during the height of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). The band was formed by frighteningly young sisters (9 & 13 years old) Jody Turner (guitar and vocals) and Julie Turner (drums) with their dad managing them. They were frequently (and rightly) compared to metal titans Girlschool, but to be honest, these gals have as much in common with The Runaways as they do with Girlschool. The band draws their sound from a vast history of hard rock and metal, with a heaping helping of the NWOBHM sound. For the most part the music is upbeat with those early 80s guitar tones and party/anthem type songs. Much like a lot of the lighter NWOBHM fare, Rock Goddess have a pop sensibility that is forged in steel with a tough looking image and sound. Vocalist Jody Turner has a gritty voice that adds to the bands toughness.  
This LP was produced by famous metal producer Chris Tsangarides, who polished the band up just a bit, so they managed to score a minor hit with the title track, "Hell Hath No Fury".

This is a record I purchased back in 1983 or 1984. I come across this record with 3, count 'em, 3 hot metal chicks on the cover. "Hell Hath No Fury" screamed the title across the top. These chicks looked pissed off and heavy. When I put this record on, my room lit up. I got goose bumps during certain tracks. I felt like I hit the jackpot. Now I bought a lot of records, most of them from bands I'd never heard of. And, usually I never wanted to hear from them again. I just took my chances because I didn't want to miss anything. And this record still makes me thankful I took those chances.
This is a record recorded by a three piece English outfit with a 9 year old drummer,...and they're all girls. In their native England they reached the charts. Their previous record charted even higher in England(#64).
This is a powerful display of raw talent. These girls can play, and play they do. The lyrics can get a little simple and not have much to say sometimes, but the energy and emotion thats dished out is tremendous. The passion and strength in the lead vocal is fantastic. Along the lines of Ann Wilsons intensity, but better. With production duties going to Chris Tsangarides, the sound is also top notch. From the title track popping out of the gate, to the riff heavy "God Be With You" to finish it off. Its all good. And, as I have said before, the mark of a great hard rock band is the ability to mix sledgehammer instrumentation, sonic and full harmony vocals, and a good strong hook to reel you in. Its all here, folks.
If you are a fan of hard rock music in the same vein as The Runaways, Girlschool, Joan Jett or The Donnas...you need to find this record.
"Hell Hath No Fury" starts with the title track doing all the right things. A sharp drum beat accented by a brilliantly produced "splash" cymbal. Strong harmony vocals that usher in a passionate and powerful lead vocal. And the best part of all is that the harmony vocals get in the backseat while the lead vocals drive the vehicle, and the vehicle is a monster truck.
One of the many highlights on this record is a track entitled "You've Got Fire." I have been listening to this track for around 20 years and I got a chill from listening to it yesterday. It is that good. Another gift of song this band gave the world is "The Visitors Are Here." With a great keyboard eerieness throughout the track, and the fury of singer Jody Turner, this is a classic rock & roll song also. There are many great songs to be heard here, all I can say is "go check it out."

The best album by British female metal band Rock Goddess. Truly a power trio. Great songs and music. A must -have for fans of Lita Ford, Doro Pesch, or Girlschool.

Break down of P&P costs:

3) Money to go to the post office and return from the post office.(Sometimes, this actually costs more than postage).

Therefore: dispatching an item costs more than what the postage label indicates. Please keep that in mind.

Also keep in mind that when a seller has to deciding the P&P price, he (or she) doesn't know exactly how heavy the package will be and where potential byers are located. If the buyer is from a nearby country, the P&P might look "expensive". If the buyer is from a faraway country, it might look "cheap". Bottom line is: please don't complain about the P&P price at any stage (especially NOT when you leave your feedback for the item that you bought), as I am trying to guess what price to charge for P&P and it is impossible to get it "exactly right". If you are a Scrooge and feel like arguing, or creating a problem for tinny amounts of money, just don't buy from me. I don't want to complicate things and I don't like Scrooges.
