Description

Missing its cover and surface scratchy all over (pics of Matrix numbers),
but still a genuine First Press with these Matrix numbers -  - 
Side 1 : 2XAV 255 - 1N Side 2 : 2XAV 256 - 1N
It is one of those albums which manage to look shiny and lightly-scratched at the same time.
The labels are not written on or damaged in any impact way, but some of the gold lettering is just faded a bit in places - please see photos.
I will report on a track-by-track play-test as soon as possible - basically when my new Pioneer turntable arrives !
A highly sought after Elvis collectable, so i thought i'd list even with no cover.
Very low start-price - this first-press Elvis usually fetches High figures.
Will be shipped in good-quality 'cruciform' lp-box, Not the flimsy envelope-type.

OK - new turntable arrived, so this old LP has been played right through.  As so often with the deep-groove early vinyl, it plays MUCH better than it looks !  In many tracks there is no hissing at all - just between the tracks or in very quiet passages.  There are NO jumps or loud 'pops' anywhere - just background hiss and crackle which varies a lot.  With many tracks i forgot i was listening to a very old LP.  It is scratched and scuffed, but it won't lie down and play dead !  A great record that still sounds strong - especially Elvis's vocals.
