A REAL find. One of the FIRST rock and roll records, if not THE first. 10" shellac record on Essex Records label "Rock the Joint" (Crafton - Keene - Bagby) Bill Haley with The Saddlemen E-303B, label very good condition. "Icy Heart" (Berk - Berk) Bill Haley with The Saddlemen E-303B, label has tear near hole. No cracks, light scuffing. Orange label. Nice and clear recording. A REAL find. One of the FIRST rock and roll records, if not THE first.
- 10" shellac record on Essex Records label
- "Rock the Joint" (Crafton - Keene - Bagby) Bill Haley with The Saddlemen E-303B, label very good condition.
- "Icy Heart" (Berk - Berk) Bill Haley with The Saddlemen E-303B, label has tear near hole.
- No cracks, light scuffing. Orange label. Nice and clear recording.

In April 1952, Bill Haley with The Saddlemen made a record that was--you could argue for days about this--the FIRST genuine rock 'n' roll record made, or the first rockabilly record recorded. "Rock the Joint" was issued as the 'B' side to "Icy Heart," a plaintive country song that will remind you of Hank Williams's "Your Cheatin' Heart."
