Description

I have found a few more gems in the collection of albums I recently purchased which was built up by a record reviewer decades ago. They have been stored unplayed since release and most are in very very fine condition. I will mention any defects - otherwise assume they are collectors quality.

This is a real find - a complete press promotional package produced in 1973 to kickstart the Rocket Record label of Elton John. Single items from this press pack sell for decent amounts on their own - here you have the full monty as follows.

Card pocket cover with Rocket train logo.

Rocket Gazette mock newspaper announcing the new label.

Promo sheets for each artist featured.

10x8 black & white press photos for Mike Silver, Davey Johnstone & Longdancer.

Longdancer 45rpm single Silent Emotions c/w If it Was So Simple. MCA 40099.

Kiki Dee 45rpm single Lonnie & Josie (written by Elton John & Bernie Taupin). MCA 40095.

Mike Silver 33rpm long player - Troubadour. MCA 348. Gatefold sleeve with one corner cut to discourage resale at the time.

Longdancer LP 'If It Was So Simple' MCA 339 featuring Dave Stewart - later of Eurythmics. Corner cut.

Davey Johnstone LP 'Smiling Face' MCA 340.

All vinyl unplayed condition. some handling wear on the Rocket sleeve but overall 9.5/10.
