Description
I am currently selling off a vast record collection of genuine rarities and collectors items in various genres.
In the past I have given lengthy descriptions of the discs/artist history but it was taking too long. Then it dawned on me it just wasn't neccessary. After all, serious collectors will already know exactly what these records are - casual bidders are hardly likely to be interested or even aware of these great sounds in the first place. So, fellow vinyl-heads I am happy to offer for auction:
ROD STEWART: Good Morning Little Schoolgirl/Outskirts Of Town (1964 UK Decca Records F11996)
Rod's first outing and he started the way he meant to go on - for a while anyway - full on and full of confidence. A perfect marraige of US R&B and swaggering British beat.
Copies of this historic record are, to say the least, few and far between these days and this one is a sweet copy indeed.
There are NO scratches,scuffs,warp or digs. The detectable short hairlines here and there do not detract from the overall gloss and shine of this remarkable disc. This is a GREAT copy.
The labels are as sharp Decca blue and silver as the day they were printed. There is a small patch of sticker residue near the top of the Decca A on "Schoolgirl" otherwise nothing to show the passing of these 44 years (!)
The original company bag is as smart and orange as you could wish.
And so. One of the Great British Throats begins it's journey here...
