Hi, Its time to clear out most of my records. As you will see by my user name I am very into mainly music from 1964-1973.I was lucky to be around at a great time in the UK and I was able to see most of the classic bands and I collected some great records. I am very clued up about different UK pressings as I have collected vinyl for around 30 years. I will be adding some gems from now on from my collection. I have taken great effort in my pictures so that you will see my items are very carefully graded, I think my pictures will show this. MEGA RARE ORIGINAL DEMO 1966 COLUMBIA 7" SINGLE IN ORIGINAL COVER (DB 7892) > See Below For All Details.

This was Rod Stewart's third UK single and is superb mod classic that features the brilliant Brian Auger on Hammond organ. The is an original UK Demo and is a very rare record. Please read below before making a bid.

The example I am auctioning I purchased a record fair some time ago in Essex , I believe the disc to have been so called "cleaned" by the dealer I got it from ,it plays well and has no deep marks etc but it is shinny with a nice gloss but as stated I think it has been done a little, please do not bid if you want EX or better. I want to give the collectors who buy my records the truth and if I think a record has been cleaned up i will say so , I did not buy this one from new so I can not give a truthful account of it's history but it is still a presentable example with great labels that plays well and is a mega rare record so I will give someone a chance to own this. I was very happy when I found this and gave a very good price for it ,I will start bidding at £1.00 with NO reserve and who ever wins gets the record.

The record has a nice gloss but please read above. The single plays well with no skips or jumps, There is surface noise on the run in grooves and on the quieter parts of the music that is mainly on side 2, shake still sounds really good, I will grade as Very Good, Visually it looks better but please read above, this is not for the perfectionist but still is a presentable and is a very rare single.

Both Demo Labels are in a superb Excellent+ condition.

The original Columbia cover is in Very Good+++ Condition with no side splits or tears. The record will be sent in a new cover to stop side splits to the original when in the post.

I use strong record boxes with extra stiffeners to stop damage and bends to the cover. All records are sent out in a plastic cover with the record NOT inside the front cover to stop splits and damage. I will also place the LP in a new inner cover to stop damage to the original when in the post. Insurance is available . The choice is yours if you take it or not. I will get a proof of posting for all items sent out. I will not be responsible for lost post if insurance is not taken.
