Another From My personal collection. This original 1st uk pressing has been stored in a case with the vinyl seperated from the cover for protection. This is how I have always stored my records! The audio is clear and very vibrant through out on my systems, it sounds superb, without the usual nasty background noise clicks or pops that are so often heard on these 42 year old vinyls! Features the earliest #1#1 matrix endings produce the best audio quality. The vinyl has obviously only had minimal play in my opinion!  The gate-fold is also in exceptional condition very rare in this condition! Complete with the original Vertigo swirl record sleeve!

Gasoline Alley was the second solo album by Rod Stewart. It was released in 1970. It is included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

 The Vertigo Labeled album, was later re-mastered and re-issued in 2008 by Lilith records LTD, of The EU. It is a collection of covers combined with Stewart's own compositions!

ANOTHER FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION IN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME CONDITION!! VERY RARE TO FIND THESE ORIGINALS IN THIS CONDITION!

The Vinyl

On initial inspection the vinyl looks awesome and I can barely see a blemish at all! Please note! this is the original heavy and thicker type only found on the earliest of these pressings! (much more sought after for the best audio quality! Only in strong light could possibly be seen sleeve removal marks/the odd scuff only be seen! (no) needle or audio sounding scratches at all  that I can see. Importantly no marks that would cause any loud annoying clicks or pops.

The Audio Quality

 I have played this vinyl track for track prior to listing at very loud volume on a top system! The audio is cristal clear and vibrant all of the way through with (no) loud clicks or pops. Any back ground noise or static was extremely minimal.  AUDIO IS AWESOME ON ALL FREQUENCIES!    PLEASE LOOK AT MY COMPLETED LISTINGS OF RECORDS THAT I HAVE SOLD OF THIS CALABER AND YOU WILL SEE THAT I NORMALLY GET IT RIGHT! I would grade the audio at least Excellent Plus to Very Near Mint in my opinion! 

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for the odd isolated only static/ ticks perhapes heard during some quiet parts (not consistent throughout the audio)! Please remember that this is a genuine 43 year old vinyl that would have originally been played on a 43 year old system!

THE LABELS

Awesome 'VERTIGO SWIRL' labels only angled to the light I can see spider marks when angled to the light but this looks like it has only had minimal play in my opinion! There is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round.  This has certainly not been overplayed! Unbeleivable for 43 years old!

The Cover

This is the original 1st issue unlaminated Howards Printers '  gatefold cover in exceptional condition for being 43 years old! On initial inspection this looks awesome almost like new! Only when looked at there is a minor small crease at the opening edge front worth to mention that's all and barely ever noticable! Any darkening with age is also very minimal and not noticed unless looked for in my opinion.  This must grade at least  excellent plus!

The record sleeve

This is the original Vertigo poly lined record sleeve. superbe condition becoming fragile with age light staining and edge split beginning at top left only. Please note the vinyl is now always stored separately from the vinyl.
