Hi, my name is Brian and I have been collecting vinyl for many years. My main interest has been PROGRESSIVE especially the VERTIGO SWIRL/SPIRAL LABEL, reputed to be the most collectable label in the world?

I have a very large collection of vinyl and I am selling some more so that I can buy some more!? I will always offer either very nice copies of great music or maybe an album in poorer condition if it is particularly rare. I will be selling vinyl on many different labels including:- CHARISMA/B&C, HARVEST, PEGASUS, RCA NEON, ISLAND, DAWN, ETC ETC...

I am not and have never been a 'dealer' by profession, but I have always given honest descriptions and lots of clear photo's of any items I have sold. I do know how disappointing it is when you open that package and the item has been over sold with expressions such as "AWESOME" etc when the item is only in EX- condition or worse. If you are in anyway disappointed with an item from me you are most welcome to return it with a FULL REFUND, providing it is an honest and just mistake by myself as I believe in my descriptions.

For sale here is --ROD STEWART--GASOLINE ALLEY-- 1970 UK ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING WITH ORIGINALTEXTURED SLEEVE.

SLEEVE.....GATEFOLD, TEXTURED and UN-LAMINATED. This album has been released with 3 different swirl labels and 3 different sleeve variations. This is the very very first, this is easy to spot as it is textured  with the same surface finish as PATTO's first swirl album, ALL other printings of this sleeve were made later. So this one is a really nice find.  In VERY NEAR MINT condition showing only minor wear. It is very flat and square.  The colours are very strong and vibrant LIKE NEW. The bottom edge is in N/MINT condition with almost NO wear and no splits. The top edge is also N/MINT condition with ALMOST NO WEAR. The front is MINT and there is no damage,  NO UNWANTED WRITING, NO STICKER TEARS, NO STICKERS  AND NO STAINING. The rear  is in  MINT condition and has NO DAMAGE and NO RINGWEAR. The inner gatefold is in SUPERB MINT condition.The opening edges are in lovely N/MINT condition with no tears. The spine is very square and all the information is clear and fully readable.  There is wear to the tips of the corners. ( please see the close-up pictures).  All in all this is in wonderful condition for a 39 year old sleeve. N/MINT. Best copy of this sleeve I have ever seen.

It comes with a very tidy swirl inner bag N/MINT.

LABELS.....Correct large B-side swirl, only 1 spindle mark on either side. N/MINT, N/MINT. Probably only played once or twice.

VINYL....  Both sides of this fantastic album still have their JUST PRESSED deep black shine. When you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can see very very few very light surface hair lines which are caused by removal and replacement in and out of the inner sleeve, there are no nasty marks or scratches. In normal daylight this album is PRISTINE. Both sides play WITHOUT SCRATCHES, CLICKS OR JUMPS. I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing LINN SONDEK and the sound is UN-WORN, it is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo separation. The audio reproduction of this pressing is perfect in all frequencies, it is so clear and crisp..top.. There are ALMOST NO dust crackles..This is a superb album in the most wonderful of conditions. These HEAVY VINYL original pressings are second to none. This really is a top copy that any collector would be delighted to add to their collection, a real KEEPER .  SO VERY CLOSE TO  MINT probably only played once or twice.

 THIS ALBUM IS GETTING VERY HARD TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION. IT IS RARE IN THIS 'SUPERB' CONDITION.
