On offer here is a real obscurity from 50 years ago. Now getting harder to find, let along in a Good playing condition. 

This is the second release on the ledgendry Joe Meek's  "Triumph" label "RGM 1001" (RGM stands for Joe's full name Robert George Meek )

The Triumph label only existed for just under a year, so many of these original pressing are now very collectable.

Although the A.side is credited to Rodd - Ken, they are in fact two people, Rod Freeman and Ken Harvey. Both tracks are penned by Joe Meek (under the pseudonym Robert Duke which he often used).

The copy on offer is still in Very good condition for age... and would be a great addition to any Joe Meek collection are for any collector of early obscure experimental recordings.

"Magic Wheel" is a catchy song, still more advanced than the popular music of the era.. more Beat than Rock n Roll. but for early experimental recordings turn this vinyl over and play the B.side "Happy Valley" this features Joe's special liking of sound effects - the track starts with a train with which the band synchronizes their rhythm and ends with exuberant chuckling high-speed voices. Also remarkable the pedal steel guitar which Joe seemed to love dearly

MATRIX Numbers: A.side. RGM 1001 A-1 WM .... B.side. RGM 1001 B-1  WM

CONDITION: (covers graded first)            Mint/VG-

Cover:  new plain white cover.

Record: has full shine, amazing for age with some light surface marks and a few light scratches. Both sides play a strong VG++, with only slight destortion and one very small surface scratch that makes a pop on the B.side.(Hence the scrict grading of VG-)

Please listen to the sound bites and hear that this vinyl is still in Excellent playing condition, still after all these years and great keeper copy!

Labels:  A.side label has a few light spindle marks and slight marking on the label, otherwise still clean for age. B.side has some light wear near the bottom, but still clean. See scans of both A. and B.side labels.

So a chance to bid on this obscure 50 year old 7" vinyl recording in a Very good playable condition.

Graded to Record Collector's system.  

All items are strictly graded under harsh electric light. I grade conservatively and hope that you always receive an item in better condition than you expected.

I list a lot of items as EX, but most will be nearer to Mint- , and any item listed as VG, will still be that,  a VERY GOOD playable keeper copy! Any item graded VG or below (ie Good/Fair) will be play checked and described to a high standard!
