ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING? : No...this is a briefly availabe re-issue, which must have been licensed from Blue Goose by the lads in Melbourne ska band, Strange Tenants, who owned the Blue Beat label - I vaguely remember it happening and stocking this in my shop (Phantom) at the time - just can't remember the exact circumstances around its existence.
Apart from the label, there are other differences: the LP has been re-cut (rendering the groove spacing to be very different), and the matrix details are completely different between the 2 releases...the catalogue number on the Blue Goose original is BGM-001...the Blue Goose logo in the bottom right corner of the front cover is black, whereas on the original release it's blue...and there's a white strip along the bottom of the cover (this was a black strip on the original). The back covers are identical except for the addition of the catalogue number at top right, and the addition of an address beneath the Blue Goose logo on this.
It was the first ever Australian album by Rodriguez. Blue Goose was a new privately run label, formed in Melbourne in 1977 by a couple of fans from within the music industry there to release the original of this. Includes 5 tracks from "Cold Fact", 3 from "Coming From Reality"...plus 3 more which had never previously appeared on ANY album (underlined tracks A5, B2 and B3)

COVER: ( VG+[+] )...has creases at top left and top right, and some minor repair with black pen (looks good!)...
RECORD: ( VG++ )...has just a few very light scuffs only...lots of its original shine! - and plays beautifully!! - closer to EX or M-...it's a beautiful copy and a great LOUD listen!...
LABELS: (Side One: M- / Side Two: MINT )...
Please note that I take a LOT of care with packaging - all records are removed from their covers (and any printed paper inner sleeves) to avoid splitting damage during transit - records and covers are carefully sealed in outer soft plastic sleeves to avoid any unforeseen dampness in transit - all packaged in stiff cardboard so it arrives in exactly the condition it left here - well, that's my mission anyway. I can't account for handling during it's journey from here to you, but with over 70,000 parcels mailed out now, I've STILL not had a badly damaged delivery! I aim to keep that record intact.
