RO-D-YS: Winter Woman/Looking For Something Better (Philips JF 334 690, HOLLAND 1969)



Final 45 by this great Dutch 60's band and much in demand ever since the inclusion of “Looking For Something Better” (a groovy freakbeat dancer with male/female vocals) on the “Le Beat Bespoke #3” compilation. Off course it's this track that works best on the dancefloor, but personally I'm much more in love with the beautiful and atmospheric “Winter Woman”, a psych pop masterpiece with great fuzz guitar solo-ing, wistful flute and mysteriously ending with the words “Winter woman...come fly away with me”. VERY RARE!

Strict grading. Record/Sleeve = VG++/VG+ (sol/soc, nc)
