ROGER HAMILTON SPOTTS – “Tongue” Original Soundtrack (1975) Chocolate Cities LP [CCS-1000]
COVER: VG+ / DISC: NM-
A super rare and funky Blaxploitation soundtrack to a porn movie. Caprice Clarke sings the title track, and the band includes Tollie Moore on Fender Rhodes and guitar, Bobby Haynes on electric bass, Curtis Kirk on drums, Rufus Anderson Jr. on electric guitar, Billy Brooks on trumpet, Stan Levine handling the moog programming, and Roger Hamilton Spotts playing piano and moog. Side one is comprised of deep funk tracks: “Tongue,” “Funk Time,” “Quasi’s Theme,” “Mind Blower,” and “Cherry’s Thing.” Side two is a side-long recording called “Party Time” that is the audio track to one of the movie’s intercourse scenes. As the cover says, “Look to Chocolate Cities for ‘funk and fire’!”
Cover is VG+ almost EX-, with slightly visible ring wear, and some wear at the seam of top left of cover. Disc is NM- Appears unplayed and is a very clean copy. No spindle marks or other signs of having been played.
