Description
This is one of the rarest of all Jazz LP's. Finding an Original copy is tough. While this copy is not perfect, the overall condition is very good given the age and rarity. The seller is not an expert but is offering lots of visual and aural support below. The attempt is to err on the side of being conservative with the description.
COVER:
The liner notes regarding the order of songs on this LP is incorrect as most jazz collectors know, but that only confirms authenticity of this version. There is visible wear on all sides as the photos will show. Note the splits near the bottom and top near the opening. There is other wear as well which can be seen from the numerous photos. There is some front cover wear but the textured stock is still pretty nice. The cover is stiff and strong. No stickers or writing. Note that the back liner notes are stickered on, another indication that this is an original copy. The spine and corners show wear as can been seen. Overall, not a mint cover but still in very nice, strong condition.
VINYL:
The label is colorful and clean with no writing or stickers. Some visible evidence of spindle rubbing is seen. The photos will confirm the degree of wear on the label. Note that one photo confirms the "RVG" stamp is present in the dead wax. Visually the surface of the vinyl is shiny and very clean. There are visible scuffs and scratches but most appear to be of the hairline type. A listening sample of portions of each side produced some background noise but minimal overall. There are a couple of spots on one side where a scratch is noticeably audible. The degree of noise from these scratches is subjective so please be aware of the scratches when bidding. The seller is not very knowledgable as to the details of surface vinyl issues.
