Up for sale is a magnificent, museum-quality archive specimen of The Rolling Stones' landmark 1964 sophomore US release, 12 X 5 (London Records, PS 402). This definitive East Coast first stereo pressing was manufactured at the legendary Bestway Products Inc. plant in Mountainside, New Jersey, featuring the highly collectible dark blue label with the early silver "boxed" London logo variation. 

Most importantly, the dead wax reveals the holy grail ZAL6493-1A (Side 1) and ZAL6494-1A (Side 2) master matrices. As a synchronized 1A/1A set pressed from the very first lacquer cuts, this disc delivers the sharpest, most dynamic mid-60s analog playback possible, making it a cornerstone addition for any serious British Invasion completionist.

The preservation of this 62-year-old album is absolutely exceptional. The vinyl disc sits in a sparkling, pristine Near Mint (NM) visual and structural condition; both dark blue paper labels are entirely flawless with zero spindle marks, confirming the record has been handled with absolute precision and rarely, if ever, played. 

The outer jacket is beautifully preserved in its original factory cellophane shrink wrap, which has successfully protected the cardboard from standard ring wear, age toning, and seam splits. Adding incredible historical provenance, the front wrap proudly retains its vintage, period-correct price sticker from the defunct mid-century department store giant E. J. Korvette. Other than some small pieces of tape someone affixed to the back (I'm guessing it was to hold the shrink on the cover and was probably put there by my younger brother who didn't know any better, lol). Complete with its original light grey paper inner sleeve featuring the central label window, this is a safely stored, investment-grade copy that will not need an upgrade.
