Description
ROLLING STONES PROGRAMME FROM 1965 UK TOUR
This programme was purchased when the Stones played Sheffield City Hall in 1965. It contains 12 pages of text and photographs, including a 2 page centre spread of photographs of the Stones "Relaxing Down Under" in Australia earlier that year.
You can see from the second photograph that the billing on the night also included The Konrads, Dave Berry and the Cruisers, The Hollies, The Checkmates, Goldie and the Gingerbreads, with the Rolling Stones topping the bill. You certainly got your money's worth in those days. As well as photo's and text about the Stones there are photographs and text covering the supporting acts, including compare Johnny Ball!
The programme is in good condition with just the usual signs of ageing. It has not been written on but there are a couple of faint marks of a cup having been placed on the top right hand corner of the front cover - these are only visible when reflecting a bright light onto the surface of the cover. The right hand corners of the front cover also show signs of a very small amount of creasing. As you can see from the photograph these are not significant. The third photograph is of the back cover. This is a terrific momento of the early days of the Stones.
