You are about to bid on another very special record from my own massive personal Psych/Beat/Prog./Folk collection... You are bidding on a Stunning ORIGINAL 1968 U.K. Unboxed Decca Stereo 1st Pressing 1967 of the awesome 'Beggars Banquet' by The Rolling Stones!!!! What makes this record even more special is that it has the Massively Rare 'Patents Pending' Credit on the reverse of the gatefold sleeve, this is a sure fire way of telling that it is the earliest possible UK 1st pressing of this much-sought-after record!!!  In 1968 most copies of this record were in Mono, Stereo had not yet taken off properly, therefore there were many more copies pressed on the red unboxed Mono labels. to find a rare unboxed blue label pressing is very hard indeed, and to find the earliest possible pressing with the 'Patents Pending' Garrod & Lofthouse cover is virtually impossible!!! What's more this record is in fabulous condition with a bright glossy sheen to the playing surfaces and beautiful sleeve, it also comes complete with its original 'blue text' Decca poly-lined inner sleeve!!!  Don't miss this very rare opportunity to own one of the all time classic Unboxed Rolling Stones Deccas!!!!!!

The cool 1st press Silver/Blue un-boxed Decca centre labels are in Stunning Ex+ condition!!! There are NO Scribbles. NO lifting or Bubbling & NO unwanted writing/scribbles!!! There are just the faintest wispy traces of spindle lines that can only be seen when holding the record angled toward strong light

The first thing you notice about this record is its incredible thickness and weight (it is super heavy!) Importantly, the vinyl is also in Stunning Ex condition!!! When these rare Stereo 1st pressings do turn up, they are almost always feature heavily marked vinyl discs that have been well played. This does not - it is in beautiful condition with a bright glass-like shine!!! Side one is Nr Mint and Side two has just one or two hairlines (only visible when holding the vinyl angled at a window) and in no way 'feelable'!!! This record really is that good!!! This disc looks like it came off the master press this morning!!! It has all the deep shine a newly pressed record that as only ever been played a handful of times before!!!  Impossible for a UK stereo 1st pressing of this album!!! The record still retains ALL of its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!!  The thick quality pressed chunky 1960's vinyl looks and feels great (it is super heavy and thick!) I have no hesitation whatsoever with grading this vinyl as a strong Ex!!! Its as simple as that (suitable for any high grade Rolling Stones collection - you will be very hard pushed to find a better example!!)

The original 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse 'Earliest Patents Pending' laminated gatefold sleeve is also in superb condition!!! These sleeves just NEVER turn up with the earliest 'Patents Pending' test in this condition!!! Even the later and much more common sleeves which omit the text ALWAYS turn up grubby and worn-out looking today. But to find a true 1st press 'Patents Pending' sleeve -in this kind of condition is impossible!!! The laminate is in beautiful crisp, clear condition, and has retained much of its whiteness, unlike ost other which have become yellowed and discoloured over time!!! The laminate also retains all of its beautiful shine, it has NONE of the laminate 'dulling' common with this sleeve!!! The sleeve still retains ALL of its original stiffness and BOX SHAPE!!! It has NO unwanted writing or scribbles (again, very common with other sleeves). It lies perfectly FLAT with virtually NO RING WEAR to the front and only slightly heavier to the back!!! The only slight fault I can find is a small scrape to the laminate on the reverse side. It has not gone through to the sleeve, just a small 2cm scrape on the laminate. The sleeve folds out (nice and stiffly) to reveal a superb inner un-laminated gatefold which ahs no faults whatsoever, save for the slightest trace of ring-wear. These 1st press sleeves always turn up totally worn out and discoloured nowadays with corner & edge wear, stains and heavy ring wear (especially to the back). This has NONE of these faults and easily grades as Ex!!! As I mentioned previously, please rest assured that this is in no way over-graded, what you are getting here is the real deal. I adhere strictly to record collector grading standards!!! It is impossible to find this original Garrod & Lofthouse 'Patents Pending' earliest 1st press gatefold sleeve in this condition anymore!!! Don't miss this rare opportunity to own one of the rarest of the UK unboxed Rolling Stones albums!!! Of course this record comes complete with its original 'Blue Text' Decca poly-lined windowed inner sleeve, which is in Ex++ condition with no unwanted writing/scribbles, no seam splitting/wear and no separating on the inner poly lining!!!

However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards.  If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...

Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.

We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure.
